Intro
Mediscovery stands as a milestone partner for Allunan™, representing our first foundational client and a relationship that yielded two of our studio’s proudest first-year deployments. Specializing in medical orthopedics and podology, the client approached us with a clear business evolution goal: transition their highly successful brick-and-mortar medical retail business into a scalable, modern online storefront.
Challenge
Migrating a physical medical product inventory online requires balancing user-friendly retail mechanics with clinical credibility. The platform needed to display complex orthopedic product matrices with absolute clarity while remaining exceptionally easy for the client to manage behind the scenes. Structuring a typical off-the-shelf store wasn’t enough—the interface demanded a fast, ultra-clean, and dynamic frontend architecture capable of instilling clinical trust while optimizing e-commerce conversions.
Solution
To solve this, Allunan™ designed a comprehensive UI design system combining deep surgical greens, clean blues, vivid crimson, and clinical orange accents across modular form inputs, dropdowns, and button components. Our team structured a sprawling layout optimized for medical category discovery, cleanly arranging specialized shoe templates, custom podology insoles, and diagnostic services across a grid architecture. On product detail pages, we prioritized ultimate micro-UX clarity—building clean, accessible layout matrices for product references, dynamic sizing options, quantity adjustments, and crisp call-to-actions.
On the engineering front, we deployed a headless e-commerce architecture to decouple the frontend design from backend management. We engineered a fast, dynamic frontend built entirely on Next.js, integrating it seamlessly with a Shopify backend. This headless approach gives the client the familiar, intuitive power of Shopify to manage their complex product categories and logistics easily, while ensuring end-users experience an instantaneous, premium web application.
